Baia is big news, and it's big as well, with over 300 seats.
Already one of cape town's places to be, Baia is the new landmark for fine seafood and cuisine in Cape Town. Newly opened this summer in 7 billion pound V&A Waterfront, Baia is the talk of the town among those who enjoy their eating and drinking. Connoisseurs from Gauteng will of course recognize Luis Viana. He's the man who has already opened a range of successful restaurants in Johannesburg.
One would be slightly harder pressed to recognize Gert Bredenhann (the head chef) who hails from Namibia. Still, he brings a wealth of experience considering his first position as head chef was taken at the tender age of 21. |
