Fado na Baixa is a small fado show venue on Rua de Sao Joao in the historic centre of Porto, occupying a narrow ground floor space about a hundred metres downhill from the Sao Bento railway station. The room is one of several intimate fado venues that opened in Porto across the 2010s in response to the growth in tourism, and unlike many tourist-facing alternatives it has stuck to a traditional concert format with no dinner service attached.
