The back wall of the stage is the Franklin Mountains themselves - native stone framing an open-air proscenium set inside a box canyon. McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre, at 1500 McKelligon Canyon Drive in El Paso, opened on 4 July 1976 as the city's Bicentennial gift to itself.
