A private members sports and social club beside Sefton Park, Aigburth People's Hall has served south Liverpool since 1901. Originally built as a members club, the building on Aigburth Vale has grown into a community hub used for weddings, parties, live events, fitness classes and sports, while keeping its character as a long-established local institution. The venue offers several distinct spaces for hire. The upstairs Ellis Room is a bright, adaptable room overlooking the gardens, suited to receptions and daytime gatherings, while an underground Cellar Nightclub provides an atmospheric setting for higher-energy private events. A marquee and garden area extend the capacity outdoors for larger occasions. Across its rooms the hall can accommodate groups ranging from around thirty to two hundred guests, with the marquee holding up to 150 and the gardens up to 200. The mix of indoor and outdoor space, set against the greenery of Sefton Park, makes it a flexible venue for celebrations of varying size. It operates as a members club, with membership tiers granting access to the bar and events, and viewings arranged by appointment. Beyond private hire, it runs club nights, fitness sessions and community activities, functioning as a social space as much as a function venue. Its position on the edge of one of Liverpool's best-known parks, in the leafy Aigburth district, has helped it remain a fixture of the area for well over a century. For locals it serves as a place to celebrate, exercise and socialise, sustained by its members and its calendar of private and community events. Over its long history the hall has adapted from a Victorian-era members club into a multi-use venue while retaining its volunteer-supported, member-owned character. Its proximity to Lark Lane, with that street's concentration of bars, cafes and independent shops, ties it into one of south Liverpool's most popular districts, and the gardens and marquee give it an outdoor dimension that many indoor function rooms in the area lack.
