Carved from a Grade II-listed former bank with an Edwardian stone facade, The Vault is a multi-level nightclub in central Bournemouth. The conversion has turned the old banking hall and its surrounding floors into a venue set over three rooms with two private bars, retaining period features while fitting out the spaces for late-night dancing. The main room, styled the Depository, holds around 350 people, with a first-floor cocktail lounge and a top-floor room called the Attic each taking a further 125, giving a combined capacity of up to 700 across the building. Programming leans on dance music, with a rotating mix of drum and bass, house, garage, dubstep and reggaeton from local selectors and touring names, drawing serious weekend crowds to the Poole Hill site. Each room is equipped with its own sound system, booth and table seating and display screens, and a limited VIP area means bookings are encouraged for those after the best seats on a busy night. The three floors also work as private-hire spaces, marketed for birthdays, corporate events and other parties, with a dedicated events team able to tailor individual rooms to different occasions. Blending a striking heritage building with a modern, multi-room club operation, The Vault has positioned itself as one of Bournemouth's larger and more flexible late-night venues. Poole Hill sits at the western edge of Bournemouth's town-centre nightlife district, and The Vault has used the drama of its former-bank setting to stand out among the resort's clubs and bars, marketing the contrast between the Edwardian stone exterior and the modern, multi-room operation inside. The split across three differently sized rooms lets the venue run several events at once or scale up for major dance bills, and its mix of drum and bass, house, garage and other club sounds, backed by a strong sound system and VIP table service, has made it a regular stop for both local promoters and touring dance acts on the south coast.
