Spread across two upper floors of City Centre Deira in Dubai, Adventure Island is a large indoor adventure and amusement park built around active, experience-led attractions. It comes from the team behind TEPfactor Dubai and the Prison Island concepts in the region, and the Deira site is described as their biggest location, gathering all of their formats under one roof. The headline attraction is Prison Island, an immersive challenge in which teams work through 24 themed cells of puzzles and physical tasks against the clock. Other experiences include Laser Island laser tag, the BEAMZ laser maze, PIXEL interactive digital game rooms and an arcade, giving older children and adults a range of competitive activities. Physical attractions take in a Canopy Trail high ropes course, the Tangle Drop climbing-and-slide tower and a soft-play area called Little Island aimed at younger children. Age requirements vary by activity, ranging from around four years for the soft play up to eight or more for the bigger challenges, with something pitched at almost every age. The park is open daily, with extended hours into the night at weekends, and caters to families, groups, school trips and corporate team-building. Its setting inside an established shopping mall means parking, dining and other amenities are all close by, making it an easy indoor day out. City Centre Deira, which opened in the mid-1990s, is one of the city's largest and longest-established malls, and the two-floor adventure park sits among its anchor leisure attractions. Activities are sold individually or as bundled passes covering several experiences, suiting both quick visits and longer group outings. The venue is a popular choice for school trips, corporate team-building and birthday parties, with staff on hand across the challenge zones to brief and supervise participants.
