Set at the foot of Jebel Hafeet mountain near the Ain Al Fayda area of Al Ain, Al Ain Adventure is a water sports and adventure park and the first facility of its kind in the Middle East. Previously known as Wadi Adventure, the park was built around purpose-made whitewater channels, the longest of their type in the world, where visitors can raft and kayak through controlled rapids. A dedicated surf pool generates rolling waves for all levels, from gentle swells for beginners to larger faces of up to around three metres for experienced surfers, with coaching available. Beyond the moving water, the park offers tubing, inflatable kayaking in its Duckies, a beach-style wave pool and Aqua Island, a floating obstacle course for families. For calmer time, the Oasis Pool provides a relaxed swimming and lounging area surrounded by greenery and framed by views of Jebel Hafeet. Land-based activities extend to high ropes, a zipline, a climbing wall and off-road tracks, broadening the appeal beyond water sports alone. Admission is sold in tiered passes, and the facility is used both by casual visitors and by athletes who train on its channels, with cafes and a campers area on site. Around half an hour from the city of Al Ain, the park has become a notable adventure destination at the base of one of the UAE's highest peaks. The park first opened as Wadi Adventure in 2012 before being rebranded as Al Ain Adventure under new management, keeping its original whitewater and surf facilities. Its standing waves and rapids have been used by kayakers, rafters and surfers for training as well as recreation, a rarity in the Gulf. The location at the base of Jebel Hafeet, close to the Green Mubazzarah springs and parkland, makes it part of a wider cluster of outdoor attractions on the edge of Al Ain that draw visitors from across the country.
