Built around a recreated Bedouin village, Al Marmoom Oasis is a desert experience and dining camp set within the Al Marmoom Conservation Reserve, reached from the Al Qudra area south of Dubai. Operated by OceanAir Travels, it offers evening desert experiences that combine cultural activities, a traditional meal and the natural setting of the unfenced reserve. Visitors are typically welcomed with Arabic coffee, dates and freshly made sweets before activities begin around the village and surrounding dunes. Heritage safaris in vintage Mercedes G-Class vehicles take guests out to spot native wildlife such as oryx and gazelle, while camel caravans offer a slower way to take in the landscape. As the sun sets over the oasis and its lakes, guests can try Arabian dress, henna, falconry photo opportunities and demonstrations of traditional cooking. The evening centres on a multi-course Bedouin dinner served in tented seating, followed by live entertainment and storytelling about desert life. After dark the camp turns to stargazing, with telescopes set up to take advantage of the clear desert skies away from the city lights. Marketed as an immersive introduction to Emirati heritage, the oasis has become a popular cultural evening out for visitors to Dubai. Experiences are offered in shared and private formats, from group safaris to private tents and cabanas, with hotel pick-up and drop-off in air-conditioned vehicles commonly included. Because the camp sits inside a protected conservation reserve, the safaris double as a chance to see native desert wildlife in its natural habitat rather than on a built attraction. The combination of cultural activities, a desert dinner and stargazing in a single evening has made it a frequent choice for first-time visitors wanting a concentrated taste of the region's heritage.
