Spread across nearly 100,000 square feet at The Beach, JBR, Bla Bla by McGettigan's is a sprawling beach club, bar and nightlife destination on the Dubai seafront. Opened in January 2021, it was conceived as an all-day social venue that moves from a relaxed beach day into a high-energy night out under a single roof. Its scale is unusual, with more than twenty separate bars, each given its own look and theme, scattered across the site. The beach club anchors the daytime offering, built around a large infinity pool, loungers and a private stretch of sand looking out towards the Ain Dubai wheel. A Casa, the resident restaurant, serves Mediterranean cooking with Japanese touches across indoor and terrace seating, with live music a regular fixture. Come evening the focus shifts to the rooftop bar and the multi-level Tent, a nightclub space able to hold large crowds, along with a karaoke lounge of private rooms. Resident DJs, a house band and guest performers drive a packed events calendar of ladies' nights, weekend brunches and pool parties. The combination of beach, pool, dining and late-night venues has made it one of the larger and busier fixtures on the JBR nightlife scene. The venue is geared mainly towards adults, with the beach club and nightlife areas operating minimum spends and table bookings at busier times. Its sheer scale, claimed to be among the largest of its kind in the city, lets it run very different moods at once, from a quiet poolside afternoon to a packed club night. Daily entertainment, regular brunches and a steady programme of guest acts keep the calendar full, and the seafront position delivers sunset views over the water that anchor much of its appeal. Its arrival reshaped the JBR beachfront, drawing a steady mix of residents and visitors from morning swims through to the early hours.
