Set within the Jebel Ali Free Zone, the JAFZA One Convention Center is a business events and exhibitions venue in the JAFZA One towers at Mina Jebel Ali on the south-western side of Dubai. It serves the large industrial and trade community of one of the region's biggest free zones. The free zone, established in the 1980s around the deep-water Jebel Ali Port, grew into a vast hub for manufacturing, logistics and trade, home to thousands of companies. The convention center was built to give that community a dedicated venue for conferences, exhibitions and corporate functions. Housed within the JAFZA One office complex, the center provides flexible halls and meeting rooms that can be configured for events of different sizes. Its spaces are used for trade conferences, seminars, product launches, award ceremonies and large business gatherings. The column-free main hall can be arranged for banquets, theatre-style seating or exhibition stands, while smaller rooms support break-out sessions and meetings. Supporting facilities cover catering, registration and audiovisual equipment. Its position inside the free zone makes it convenient for the businesses based there, removing the need to travel into the city center for major events. The location ties it closely to the port, the industrial districts and the surrounding logistics operations. The wider JAFZA One development combines offices, retail and dining with the convention facilities, so delegates have services on hand around the venue. Parking is extensive, in keeping with the scale of the surrounding free-zone district. Good road access links the center to the main highways running along the coast, and it sits within reach of Al Maktoum International Airport and the Expo City area to the east. As a purpose-built business venue rather than a public attraction, its calendar is driven by corporate and trade events, making it a working hub for the commercial life of the free zone.
