A 30,000-square-foot black-box hall in Dubai Media City, The Agenda is a flexible indoor venue built to host concerts, exhibitions, conferences, weddings and film shoots under one roof. It sits on Al Jaddi Street in the heart of Media City, a couple of minutes from the Internet City Metro station, with on-site parking aimed at event clients. The main hall is a flat, open space with ceilings around seventeen metres high and truck access, letting promoters rig stages, sets and lighting to suit each event. Configurations range from about 3,000 seated for a theatre show or comedy night to roughly 5,000 standing for a concert, with the layout changed event by event. VIP suites, conference rooms, a foyer and mezzanine areas support events, while food and beverage outlets serve audiences on site. The same height and floor space that suit live shows also make it usable as a soundstage and exhibition hall, which is why it markets itself as more than a single-purpose theatre. Its pitch is built around simple, transparent hire of the bare hall, with operators adding only what each show needs rather than a fixed fit-out. That flexibility has made it a regular host for touring concerts, corporate events and exhibitions looking for a large, central indoor space in Dubai. Time slots are sold in blocks across the day and into the early hours, letting the same hall turn around from a daytime shoot to an evening concert. Media City's concentration of broadcasters, production houses and agencies gives the venue a natural pool of corporate and entertainment clients on its doorstep. By offering a large, bare, well-serviced box at the centre of that district, with parking and a Metro link close by, The Agenda has aimed to simplify the business of staging big indoor events in Dubai, competing with hotel ballrooms and exhibition halls for concerts, conventions and shows alike.
