Sweden's first vermouth bar sits just off Mollevangstorget in Malmo's Mollevangen district, where founders Filip Akerblom, Stefan Forsberg and Daniel Jonsson pooled their respective passions for coffee, cocktails and food into a concept borrowed from the vermuterias of southern Europe. Artisan opened as an all-day cafe, restaurant and bar: morning espresso flows into weekday lunches, afternoon aperitivo and late-night vermouth without the room ever really closing between services. The drinks list leans on vermouth in all its forms - a tradition the bar traces back to 18th-century Turin - served neat, over ice or in cocktails, alongside wine, beer and spirits. The kitchen sends out an avant-garde menu of internationally inspired small plates and set lunches, built on the idea that a visit should feel, as the founders put it, like a sunlit piazza in southern Europe regardless of the Malmo weather outside. Licensed serving hours run to 11 pm on weekdays and 1 am on Fridays, Saturdays and nights before public holidays, with both indoor seating and a street terrace. The location puts it in the middle of Mollevangen's dense cluster of bars and restaurants, a natural first or last stop on a night around the square.
