The club's dedication to the craft has earned it the Sacramento News and Review Readers' Choice Award for best comedy club, and its Arden-Arcade location - about six miles from the convention center with free lot parking - keeps it on the itinerary for both downtown visitors and suburban regulars. Shows run Wednesday through Sunday most weeks, with the intimate scale meaning sellouts are routine when a touring name drops in. The room's longevity gives Sacramento something few mid-size markets keep: a continuous 30-plus-year archive of the craft, from the club-boom survivors of the early 1990s through the podcast-era headliners selling out on a Tuesday.
