Opened in 2026 within the Mandai nature precinct, Exploria is one of the largest indoor nature-themed multimedia attractions in Southeast Asia, a vast digital playground where visitors journey through hidden realms of the natural world that no zoo or aquarium could ever recreate. Spanning some ten thousand square metres across two levels, the attraction abandons cages and tanks entirely in favour of screens, projections, simulators and interactive installations, conjuring environments that range from the age of the dinosaurs to the microscopic world of insects, from the crushing dark of the deep ocean to the extremes of desert, tundra and high mountain. Visitors begin at a central hub built around a great glowing globe, where their very movements send pulses of light rippling across the sphere, before venturing out into five distinct themed worlds. In one, prehistoric giants loom out of the darkness; in another, interactive orbs and projection domes magnify the tiny creatures of the microscopic realm; elsewhere, simulator rooms plunge guests into the planet most punishing habitats, or a pitch-dark labyrinth introduces the strange, eyeless and luminous creatures that thrive without light. A personalised wristband accompanies each visitor, allowing them to interact with touchpoints throughout, unlock hidden content, earn points and collect rewards, turning the visit into a kind of gamified expedition. Designed with teenagers and young adults especially in mind, though welcoming to families and the curious of every age, the attraction blends spectacle with science-guided storytelling, using technology to reveal the wonder and interconnectedness of life on Earth and to stir a sense of responsibility for protecting it.
