Set on Rua do Alecrim in the historic central Cais do Sodre district of Lisbon, Neon Minigolf Lisbon is the second principal indoor mini-golf venue of the wider central Portuguese capital. The venue opened in June 2024 as the third principal commercial mini-golf venue developed by the substantial Spanish-British partnership of Pedro Ruiz and Lee Anderson, following the original 2022 Minigolf Lisbon at Calcada Ferragial and the supplementary 2022 Minigolf Porto in central Porto. The principal commercial differentiation of the new Neon Minigolf venue is the substantial continuous neon and UV blacklight illumination of the wider mini-golf circuit. The substantial principal building dates from approximately five hundred years ago, making it one of the principal surviving early modern commercial buildings of the wider central Cais do Sodre district. The substantial original sixteenth-century commercial building was substantially refurbished during the principal preceding several months before the June 2024 opening, with the principal external character of the substantial original building preserved while the principal internal spaces were substantially adapted for the new commercial mini-golf operation. The substantial principal eighteen-hole mini-golf circuit is distributed across the principal two floors of the substantial building. The principal individual holes follow various neon-themed designs, with the various individual obstacles, golf balls and individual putters all painted in substantial UV-reactive paints that produce substantial luminescent glow effects under the continuous blacklight illumination of the wider venue. The principal individual holes follow the standard progressive difficulty arrangement with the principal opening holes providing relatively straightforward standard mini-golf gameplay. The substantial principal interior decoration combines substantial preserved historical building elements with substantial contemporary urban street art and graffiti decoration. The substantial preserved historical elements include the various original sixteenth and seventeenth-century stone walls and various original wooden ceiling beams. The substantial contemporary graffiti decoration covers most of the supplementary wall surfaces with substantial individual contemporary urban art designs by various local Lisbon-based street artists. The substantial supplementary central bar facility provides a substantial selection of standard cocktails throughout the standard operating hours. The principal cocktail menu includes the various standard international cocktail classics including the Sex on the Beach, Long Island Iced Tea, Pina Colada, Aperol Spritz, Negroni, Mimosa, Caipirinha and Caipiroska, with the standard cocktail price at around nine euros per drink. The supplementary games include various individual table football and air hockey installations distributed across the wider venue floor area. The standard operating hours run Tuesday through Sunday with the venue closed on Mondays throughout the year.
