Perched on Erie's waterfront with Presque Isle Bay as a backdrop, the Rebich Investments Amphitheater at Liberty Park hosts both ticketed concerts and the beloved 8 Great Tuesdays free summer concert series. The open-air stage sits within Liberty Park at the foot of State Street, and the annual free series -- running eight consecutive Tuesday evenings from early July through late August -- has become one of northwestern Pennsylvania's signature summer traditions, drawing between 4,000 and 8,000 attendees on peak nights. Each 8 Great Tuesdays evening features an opening act at 6:30 PM and a headlining act at 8:00 PM, wrapping up by 9:30 PM. Gates open at 5:00 PM for the free series, and guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Food trucks and concession vendors line the east side of the amphitheater, and all concessions are cashless -- credit and contactless payments only. Service animals are welcome; pets are not permitted during events. Free shuttle service is provided by the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority from the Erie Intermodal Transportation Center and the Thomas C. Hoffman Transportation Hub, running continuously from 5 PM until the event ends. On-site parking at Liberty Park is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with designated accessible spots inside the park and drop-off zones near the east and west gates. Bicycle parking is available at the racks near the east entrance. Beyond the summer series, the amphitheater hosts ticketed concerts throughout the warm months with touring acts in country, rock, tribute, and classic-hits genres. General gate times for ticketed events are typically one hour before showtime. The venue is managed by Erie Events, which also operates the Erie Insurance Arena and the Bayfront Convention Center, and all performances at the amphitheater are cashless. Past headliners at 8 Great Tuesdays have included national touring acts across blues, funk, and classic rock.
