Owned and operated by the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians, Angel of the Winds Casino Resort opened on 28 October 2004 near Arlington, Washington, on tribal land along Stoluckquamish Lane -- a street name drawn from the tribe's historic designation as the Stoluck-wha-mish. What started as a scaled-down 22,000-square-foot modular building with 425 slot machines has expanded through renovations in 2008 and 2015 into a full-scale resort destination in the Cascade foothills. The casino floor now spans 112,000 square feet with over 1,400 slot and video machines, 25 table games, and a sportsbook with executive seating. The 125-room hotel, which opened in 2015 alongside additional gaming space, includes six suites and an executive gym. Five signature restaurants -- from a steakhouse to Pacific Northwest-inspired casual dining -- and a grab-and-go counter handle the culinary programme, while five bars include the award-winning 210 Microbrewery. Live entertainment takes place in the 9,000-square-foot Rivers Run Event Center, which hosts music concerts, conventions, dinner receptions, and community events. Family-friendly options include a 16-lane bowling alley with Clutch interactive features, a virtual sports gaming venue for golf, lacrosse, hockey, and other simulations, and an arcade area. Seasonal outdoor events make use of the surrounding grounds during the summer months. The resort sits east of Interstate 5, roughly an hour north of Seattle and 25 minutes north of Everett. Revenue from the casino supports the Stillaguamish Tribe, which achieved federal recognition in 1976 and had its 64-acre reservation formally recognized in 2014. The tribe uses gaming revenue to fund tribal government services, education, and infrastructure. The resort's rewards programme offers tiered benefits across gaming, dining, and hotel stays, accessible through the Angel of the Winds player card system.
