Since its grand opening in 1964, the Arvest Convention Center has anchored Tulsa's Arena District as the city's premier gathering place for trade shows, concerts, galas, and conferences. Originally known as the Assembly Center and later as the Cox Business Convention Center, it acquired its current name under an Arvest Bank naming-rights agreement. The centrepiece of the complex is the Pepsi Exhibit Hall, a 102,600-square-foot, column-free expanse on the street level of the southwest wing. Divisible into three independent sections -- Halls A, B, and C -- it handles everything from large-scale trade exhibitions and touring concert productions to film shoots and seated galas for thousands. Roll-up doors standing over thirty-eight feet tall and a sixteen-bay loading dock streamline load-in for even the heaviest touring rigs. In total the convention centre offers more than 275,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space spread across three floors. A recently renovated east side houses Oklahoma's largest banquet space, the 30,060-square-foot Tulsa Ballroom, along with a Grand Hall and more than twenty-five thousand square feet of pre-function galleries and breakout rooms. In-house catering by OVG Hospitality, led by a two-time Chef of the Year and multiple ACF-medal winner, and a dedicated technical-services team for audio-visual, IT, and staging mean event planners can source most production needs under one roof. An enclosed skybridge connects directly to a 411-room DoubleTree by Hilton, and more than two thousand additional hotel rooms sit within walking distance. Over seventy restaurants line the surrounding downtown blocks. Tulsa International Airport is less than fifteen minutes away by car, and the BOK Center arena stands across the street, making it straightforward to pair a convention or trade show with a major touring concert or sporting event. The facility is owned by the City of Tulsa and managed by OVG, the same hospitality group that oversees many of the country's premier arenas and convention centres.
