Housed in the former St. George Lyceum -- a social club formed in the early twentieth century and disbanded in 2016 -- Bottlerocket Social Hall at 1226 Arlington Avenue in Pittsburgh's Hilltop neighbourhood is a time-capsule bar and indie arts venue unlike anything else in the city. Vintage televisions, a 1976 Rockola jukebox, original wood-panelled walls, and velvet wallpaper survive from the Lyceum's last renovation in 1979, giving the room a lived-in character that no amount of deliberate set-dressing could replicate. The 200-capacity main bar hosts shows nearly every night: comedy, live music, drag, themed dance parties, film screenings, fantasy-football drafts, and whatever else the programming team dreams up. Voted Pittsburgh's Best Bar in the 2025 CityPaper Best Of awards, Bottlerocket also maintains an industrial warehouse space, the Little Giant Rehearsal Studio, and an Airbnb, all of which can be packaged together for larger private events accommodating up to 500 guests. Complimentary private parking lots sit behind the building. Happy hour runs from 5 to 7 PM with three-dollar beers and seven-dollar cocktails.
