The Clarence Brown Theatre is a professional Equity theatre on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, named after the Academy Award-nominated film director and UT alumnus Clarence Brown. The company produces a full season of plays and musicals in two performance spaces: a 557-seat mainstage and a more intimate lab theatre. As one of only a handful of university-affiliated professional theatres in the country, the Clarence Brown provides students with hands-on experience alongside professional actors and designers while offering the Knoxville community access to high-calibre productions.
