Located on the street level of the Des Moines Civic Center building at 221 Walnut Street, the Stoner Theater is a 200-seat black-box venue operated by Des Moines Performing Arts. The intimate space hosts smaller theatrical productions, lectures, educational programming, and community events that complement the larger Civic Center main hall upstairs. Together with the Civic Center, Cowles Commons, and the Temple for Performing Arts, the Stoner Theater is part of the Des Moines Performing Arts campus in downtown Des Moines.
