Opened in spring 2026, this outdoor live-music venue brings open-air entertainment to Birmingham's Lakeview district at 514 32nd Street South. Lakeview Marina Music Park features a covered stage, shaded seating areas, fire pits, mobile bars, air-conditioned restrooms, and rotating food trucks, all designed for a relaxed concert atmosphere under the Alabama sky. The park occupies roughly half a city block in a commercial area a few blocks from the heart of Lakeview's established entertainment corridor near Pepper Place. The development is the creation of Bart Stephens, a music enthusiast who purchased the property in 2023 and set out to build a music-centered community hub as his first foray into business development. Adjacent to the outdoor park sits the High Dive HiFi Lounge, an indoor restaurant, bar, and music venue where Stephens personally selects vinyl-format records for the listening experience. Seasick Records, an independent record shop, also operates within the development, and together the three tenants anchor a mini entertainment district that blends retail, food, and live performance. Programming during the venue's inaugural season has featured regional and national touring acts across folk, country, indie, and Americana genres, with headliners including Cass McCombs, The Wailers, and Midnight North featuring Grahame Lesh. Most shows are general-admission at an average ticket price around $41, while several community events carry free entry. The development also hosts seasonal events such as Record Store Day celebrations, where bands play outdoors, vendors sell goods, and the entire complex takes on a festival atmosphere. Stephens has described the space as only scratching the surface of its potential, with plans for expanded programming and additional tenants focused on independent, community-driven, and culture-based businesses. Parking is available in nearby lots and garages in the surrounding Lakeview neighborhood, and the venue is a short drive from downtown Birmingham's entertainment and dining options.
