Formerly known as Metro Bar, Metro Music Hall at 615 West 100 South in downtown Salt Lake City relaunched in September 2016 as a professional mid-size concert venue through a partnership with S&S Presents. The 21-and-over space holds approximately 600 to 700 people in a primarily standing-room format, with limited seating and luxury booth reservations available for select events. Programming is wide-ranging and community-oriented: in addition to live concerts spanning rock, indie, electronic, hip-hop, folk, and country, the venue hosts drag shows, dance parties, comedy nights, spoken-word evenings, and alternative-lifestyle celebrations. The concert archive shows well over 900 past shows featuring artists such as RX Bandits, Tigers Jaw, Chet Faker, Julia Jacklin, Arlo Parks, Chat Pile, Militarie Gun, and of Montreal, establishing Metro Music Hall as one of the most active mid-size rooms in Utah. The venue features a high-quality sound system designed for clarity in the room's dimensions, multiple-stage lighting solutions, a full-service bar, and an outdoor patio. Pre-packaged food is available inside, with numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance on the west side of downtown. Most weekday shows end around 11 p.m. to midnight, with weekend shows running until 1 a.m. Metro Music Hall is currently booked by LNE Presents and functions as a rented venue, giving it flexibility to host a diverse roster of promoters and independent events. The intimate atmosphere and central downtown location -- on the south side of 100 South, next door to The Sun Trapp bar -- have made it a reliable destination for Salt Lake City's live-music community.
