Stage AE is a multi-purpose entertainment complex at 400 North Shore Drive in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, located adjacent to Acrisure Stadium on the city's North Shore. Opened on December 3, 2010, at a cost of thirteen million dollars, it is the second indoor-outdoor concert venue in America, modelled after its predecessor KEMBA Live! in Columbus, Ohio. The facility is owned and operated by PromoWest Productions, the largest full-service independent entertainment company based in the Midwest. The complex is divided into three independent concert spaces: the outdoor amphitheatre (5,500 capacity), the indoor music hall with main floor and balcony (2,400), and the indoor club (400). An additional indoor lounge seats approximately 90. The innovative reversible stage allows for seamless transition between indoor and outdoor configurations, with the indoor season running year-round and the outdoor season from May through September. The venue features state-of-the-art lighting and acoustical systems designed by WD Partners. Stage AE averages over 110 events annually, covering rock, folk, blues, jazz, metal, classical, country, alternative, and everything in between. Additionally, it hosts sporting events including championship boxing and extreme fighting, as well as charity walks, fundraisers, expos, and tailgate events for Steelers games at the adjacent stadium. The naming rights belong to Pittsburgh-based clothing retailer American Eagle Outfitters. The venue is accessible via Pittsburgh Light Rail's North Side station.
