Target Center is an 18,798-seat multi-purpose arena at 600 North First Avenue in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. Opened on October 13, 1990, the octagonal structure with three levels of seating is owned by the City of Minneapolis and operated by Legends Global. Target Center serves as the home arena for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA and the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA. For concerts, the arena's capacity expands to up to 20,500 depending on stage and curtain configuration. Since opening, Target Center has welcomed over 36 million guests and hosted more than 5,000 events. The arena has been the site of the 1995 NCAA Women's Final Four, Big Ten men's basketball tournament, nineteen neutral-site NHL games, WWE SummerSlam 1999, WWE TLC 2017, US Olympic Trials for gymnastics, and the 1991 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The venue is named through a naming-rights agreement with Target Corporation, whose headquarters are located in Minneapolis. The arena features 702 club seats and 68 luxury suites, and its downtown location provides access to the Minneapolis skyway system and proximity to other entertainment venues in the Hennepin Theatre District.
