The Wright State University Nutter Center is an 11,200-seat multi-purpose arena at 3640 Colonel Glenn Highway in Fairborn, Ohio, approximately ten miles east of Dayton. The facility opened on December 1, 1990, funded by a 1.5-million-dollar donation from local businessman Ervin J. Nutter combined with eight million dollars from the state and university student fees, at a total construction cost of 34.5 million dollars. Designed by HOK Sport, the 260,000-square-foot complex features 18 luxury suites, four auxiliary basketball and volleyball courts, a recreational running track, a weight room, and a 70-foot-high curtain and truss system that can adjust configurations from half-house setups of 2,000 seats to full-capacity concerts of 11,200. The Nutter Center is home to the Wright State Raiders men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball teams, and hosts approximately twelve national touring concerts per year alongside Ohio High School Athletic Association tournaments, family shows, and community events.
