One of the two superclubs that anchor nightlife in San Antonio, Eden Ibiza stands on the bay directly opposite the long S'Arenal beach and a short walk from the town centre. The club took its present name in the winter of 1999, having previously traded as Star Club and then Kaos; the rebrand was a deliberate bid to raise the standard of clubbing on the west of the island, positioning it against its neighbour and friendly rival, Es Paradis, just metres away. Through the 1990s and 2000s the venue hosted high-profile club brands such as Godskitchen, Gatecrasher and Pete Tong's Wonderland. A full refurbishment in 2013 reshaped the interior and installed a high-specification Void sound system, widely rated among the best on the island. The space runs over a lower-level main dancefloor with balconies above, an adjoining room (NeXt) with its own entrance, and a rooftop area. Now under Dutch ownership with British and Irish management, Eden runs a broad weekly programme spanning house, techno, trance, drum and bass, garage and reggaeton, drawing a young, largely British summer crowd. It typically operates from mid-May to mid-October, with daily events at the height of the season.
