Sundara is an intimate club and garden restaurant at the heart of the Palm Star Ibiza hotel in San Antonio Bay, at the Cala de Bou end of the resort. With a capacity of around 380 it is pitched as a smaller, more design-led alternative to the island's superclubs -- 'affordable luxury' clubbing on a human scale. The venue pairs an outdoor garden restaurant with an adjoining nightclub. The restaurant, a leafy terrace with rattan decor, serves international dishes drawing on South American and Asian flavours alongside cocktails; after dinner the focus shifts next door to the dancefloor, which is equipped with a Funktion-One sound system and runs a quality-led policy of classic house, funk and disco with guest DJs through the summer. A 5am licence lets it run late, and VIP areas sit alongside the main floor. Open in the evenings during the season and closed over winter, Sundara is reachable by a short taxi ride from central San Antonio, with a rank outside the Palm Star for the journey home.
