Set across three floors of a former cheese market in Glasgow's Merchant City, Arta is a Mediterranean-themed venue that combines a tapas restaurant, a candlelit cocktail bar styled after a Spanish hacienda, and a late-night club called Canvas that runs to 3am at weekends. The building's historic bones have been reworked into a deliberately theatrical, artwork-laden space, with private rooms such as the Red Room and a Spanish-style courtyard used for weddings, corporate events and parties. Salsa nights, live shows and a Spanish afternoon tea feature alongside the regular food and drink offer. Open Thursday to Saturday evenings, with the kitchen closing earlier in the night, Arta sits on Albion Street in the heart of Merchant City, the part of central Glasgow known for its bars, restaurants and converted Victorian warehouses.
