Opened as a roughly GBP 7 million conversion of a disused warehouse, Blackstock Market is a 60,000-square-foot food and entertainment complex on Blackstock Street in Liverpool, off Vauxhall Road. It was created by the brothers behind the Hot Water Comedy Club, and serves as that club's home across several theatre spaces, including a purpose-built auditorium seating around 590. The venue combines comedy and live music with one of the city's largest food markets, gathering eight or so independent street-food traders under one roof alongside cocktail bars, a prohibition-themed whisky bar and a self-service craft-beer wall. Entry to the market areas is free, with live music daily, sports screenings and a large rooftop terrace. With multiple hireable spaces, including podcast studios, it also functions as an events venue for parties, weddings and corporate bookings, and is dog-friendly.
