Creatures Comedy Club is an independent stand-up venue in a basement at 42-44 Oldham Street, in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter. Launched in its current form around 2022-2023 and led by the comedian Evan Desmarais, it bills itself as the only Manchester comedy club to run seven nights a week. The club presents a New York-style format with over 15 shows weekly, mixing international headliners, viral and television names, fresh newcomers and concept nights such as comedy bingo and debate shows. Seating is first come, first served, all shows are strictly over-18s, and because the room is a basement reached by a staircase it does not currently offer step-free or wheelchair access. It sits among the bars, record shops and independent businesses of the Northern Quarter, Manchester's main creative and nightlife district.
