Lightbox is a three-room nightclub built under the Vauxhall railway arches at 6 South Lambeth Place in south London, less than 100 metres from Vauxhall station and bus interchange. Opened in 2008, the 600-capacity venue takes its name from the LED walls and ceiling that wrap its main room, and forms part of the wider cluster of Vauxhall Arches clubs. The club is known for a programme of techno, house, UK garage and drum and bass, alongside pop, hip-hop and R&B party nights, with Thursday events and after-hours parties on top of regular weekend sessions that run through the night. A recent refit installed a Danley Sound Labs system and upgraded lighting, and the space is wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets and available for external hire. Its position at the Vauxhall transport hub, beside the River Thames, makes it one of south London's most accessible clubbing destinations.
