McChuills is an independent music bar and gig venue at 80 High Street in Glasgow, a fixture of the city's grassroots live scene for around three decades. More than a standard pub, it has built its reputation on valuing bands and musicians, giving acts a platform without a pay-to-play model and inviting them back regardless of how many tickets they shift. The bar pairs everyday accessories -- international beers, live sport and a pool table -- with a strongly individual music policy, hosting gigs and club nights spanning rock, indie, psych, garage, ska, funk, soul and electronic, plus performance nights and DJ sessions such as High Street Funk and Soul. It is open daily into the night and is widely regarded as a community hub for Glasgow's music culture. It sits at the eastern end of the city centre, on the High Street between Glasgow Cross and the Cathedral.
