The Bungalow is an independent live-music venue at 15 Shuttle Street in the heart of Paisley town centre, central Scotland. A relatively small room with a capacity of around 290, it stages live music on most weekend nights and runs an open-mic session on Sundays, supporting bands of all genres and sizes. The Bungalow name carries a notable local legacy: the original venue on Renfrew Road hosted a string of well-known acts through the late 1970s and early 1980s before closing. The current Shuttle Street incarnation opened in 2008 as a revival, and has since welcomed both rising bands and established names back to Paisley, a town long associated with musicians such as Paolo Nutini and Gerry Rafferty. The venue markets itself as ethical and fair to artists, providing a full stage, PA, lighting, and backline, and explicitly rejecting pay-to-play arrangements. Many of its shows are free entry, with tickets kept deliberately affordable. It operates as an 18+ venue, with limited access for accompanied 16-17 year olds.
