The Flowerpot is a traditional real-ale pub and live-music venue at 19-25 King Street in Derby, in the city's Cathedral Quarter. A nationally known grassroots venue with an intimate capacity of around 250, it has built a reputation as one of the best places in the city to catch up-close performances from both local bands and touring acts. Its music programme spans rock, indie, folk, blues, and tribute acts across stages in both the main venue and the bar area, and the family-run business is equally celebrated for its drinks, having been named Derby CAMRA Pub of the Year for 2025. The cellar bar typically pours at least eight beers, mixing regular favourites with ever-changing guest ales. The Flowerpot is also a guest house, with en-suite rooms in the Flowerpot Rooms above the pub and an on-site micro-brewery, making it something of an all-in-one destination for live-music visitors to Derby. It trades seven days a week, opening into the early hours on Friday and Saturday nights.
