The Dome at Grand Central Hall is a live-events venue at 35 Renshaw Street in Liverpool city centre, occupying the domed performance space of the Grade II-listed Grand Central Hall. The building opened in 1905 as the Central Hall of the Liverpool Wesleyan Mission, designed in an Art Nouveau style by the Bolton practice Bradshaw and Gass, and for several decades it also served as the New Century Picture Hall cinema. After the building became home to independent traders and shops in the 2000s, a performance area in the domed hall opened in October 2011 as The Dome, with a capacity of around 1,200 used for music, film, and theatre. A major redevelopment integrating hotel, bars, food hall, and event spaces followed, and in early 2023 the venue reopened after a substantial refurbishment of its sound, lighting, staging, and amenities. Today The Dome hosts a varied programme of live music, club nights, comedy, combat-sports events, brunches, and fan-park screenings, with multiple bars across the venue. Its historic, ornate setting and central location near Bold Street and Liverpool's shopping district make it a distinctive mid-to-large-scale events space in the city.
