South Korea's largest theme park, operated by Samsung C&T Resort Group and located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, approximately 40 kilometres south of Seoul. Opened in 1976 as Yongin Farmland, the park was rebranded as Everland in 1996 and has grown into a multi-zone resort encompassing roller coasters, themed areas, a zoo, a water park (Caribbean Bay), and seasonal festival programming that attracts over 6 million visitors annually. The park is organised into five themed zones: Global Fair at the entrance with its European architecture; American Adventure with major thrill rides; Magic Land with family rides and fantasy theming; European Adventure with the T-Express, a steep wooden roller coaster consistently ranked among Asia's best; and Zootopia, a zoological area with safari-style exhibits housing lions, bears, primates, and a panda pavilion that opened in 2016. Seasonal festivals define Everland's calendar: the Tulip Festival in spring fills the park with 1.2 million bulbs planted in elaborate patterns; the Summer Splash festival activates water attractions; the Halloween Bloods festival transforms the park after dark with haunted houses and horror theming; and the Royal Starlight Christmas festival features light displays, markets, and a parade. These seasonal events drive repeat visitation from the Seoul metropolitan area's population of over 25 million. Caribbean Bay, the resort's adjacent water park, operates year-round with indoor heated pools supplementing the outdoor slides and wave pool during colder months. Express buses connect Everland to major Seoul bus terminals and subway stations in approximately 60 to 90 minutes. One-day and multi-day tickets are available, with Q-Pass fast-track options for major attractions. Hotel accommodation within the resort complex and at nearby lodgings in Yongin enables multi-day visits. The Everland Speedway offers go-kart racing as a separate-admission activity adjacent to the main park.
