A theme park in the Gijang-gun district of eastern Busan, opened in 2022 as the Lotte Group's second major theme park following the original Lotte World in Seoul. Unlike the Seoul location's primarily indoor format, Lotte World Adventure Busan is a purpose-built outdoor theme park on a coastal hillside site, with ocean views from many of the attractions and a design that incorporates the natural topography of the Gijang coastline into the ride layouts and themed areas. The park's themed zones draw on fairy tale and fantasy narratives with distinct architectural identities: a castle district, a woodland adventure zone, a pirate-themed waterfront area, and a royal garden section. Roller coasters, family rides, dark rides, water rides, and live entertainment shows fill these zones, with the Giant Digger coaster and the Giant Splash log flume among the headline attractions. The coastal location provides a different atmosphere from Seoul's urban Lotte World, with sea breezes, coastal scenery, and sunset views adding environmental qualities that the indoor Seoul park cannot replicate. Evening operations with themed lighting create a distinct nighttime experience, and seasonal festivals including summer water events, Halloween horror nights, and Christmas illuminations extend the programming calendar. Located approximately 30 minutes northeast of central Busan by car, the park is accessible by shuttle bus from Busan's main transport hubs. The Gijang area is also home to Busan's Haedong Yonggungsa Temple and the Gijang Market seafood district, providing complementary activities for visitors spending multiple days in the region. Admission is charged with season pass options and after-4pm discounted entry available. Dining and retail outlets within the park follow Korean and international food service formats, and character meet-and-greet areas throughout the themed zones provide photo opportunities with costumed performers.
