A large-scale jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouse and sauna complex) within the Shinsegae Centum City department store in the Haeundae district of Busan, recognised by Guinness World Records as the world's largest department store. Spa Land occupies two floors of the complex and draws its water from two natural hot springs -- sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate springs tapped at depths of over 1,000 metres beneath the building. The facility comprises over a dozen themed sauna rooms, each designed around a different material, temperature, and cultural aesthetic: a Finnish log sauna, a Roman-themed caldarium, a yellow clay room, a salt room, a charcoal room, a jade room, and an ice room for cooling between heat sessions. Each sauna operates at a different temperature and humidity level, and regular users develop personal circuits moving between rooms in specific sequences. The bathing area separates into gender-specific zones for the nude bathing pools and communal bathing common to Korean bathhouse culture. Multiple pools at graduated temperatures from cold plunge to hot soak are supplemented by jet massage stations, waterfalls, and outdoor rooftop bathing areas with views over the Busan cityscape. A communal resting area, dining hall, and relaxation rooms in the clothed co-ed section provide space for extended multi-hour visits. Centum City Station on Busan Metro Line 2 provides direct access to the Shinsegae complex. Spa Land is open from early morning until late evening daily, and most visitors spend three to five hours cycling through the saunas and baths. The facility provides towels, robes, and standard toiletries; admission is charged with a premium for weekend and holiday entry. The jjimjilbang culture of extended multi-hour visits distinguishes Korean bathhouse socialising from Western spa traditions, with families and friend groups spending half-days or full days moving between bathing, eating, resting, and socialising within the facility.
