ARTCH Studios is a multi-use studio and event space in the centre of Preston, Lancashire, occupying three converted railway arches plus an outdoor yard at 22-24 Gradwell Street, off Marsh Lane. The brainchild of Prestonian events creative Mark Walsh, it was conceived as a flexible, community-focused hub for the arts - described by its founders as bringing "a little bit of Shoreditch energy" to Preston. The venue offers three "black-box" blank-canvas studios of varying sizes, theatrically draped and fitted with nightclub-standard sound and lighting, together with a festoon-lit yard used as a breakout, bar, or dancefloor area. Spaces can be hired individually or as a whole-site takeover, with capacities that vary by layout and reaching around 300 to 400 for dance events. ARTCH hosts an exceptionally broad mix of activities - rehearsals, dance and life-drawing classes, theatre, promoted club nights, seated shows, weddings, parties, brand activations, and corporate events - supported by an in-house bar and a network of resident creatives. A short walk from the city centre, university, and railway station, it functions as a genuinely adaptable indoor events venue.
