Coco Boho is a late-night bar tucked beneath the Tigerlily venue on George Street, in the heart of Edinburgh's Georgian New Town. Opened in July 2023, it describes itself firmly as a lively, footloose drinking spot rather than a nightclub, with no guestlists, entry fees or cloakroom queues, and a promise to surprise and delight everyone who comes through the door. The basement room is dressed in a distinctive "rough luxe" style, an intimate setting designed to feel both glamorous and a little unpolished. A disco-leaning drinks list of cocktails is stirred, shaken and flared behind the bar, sitting alongside beer and wine, and the venue makes a virtue of the idea that no two visits should ever feel quite the same. Entertainment runs to DJs, live music and performances, with the energy building from pre-dinner drinks and birthday cocktails through to dancing into the small hours. During the Edinburgh Festival Fringe the room operates as a comedy venue under the Laughing Horse banner, adding stand-up to its usual mix of music and late-night socialising. Coco Boho opens from Wednesday to Saturday, typically from eight in the evening until three in the morning, with a later Sunday start, and it offers mixology classes, party packages and event bookings alongside walk-in trade. An outside area extends the space, and the absence of an entry fee reinforces its identity as a relaxed bar rather than a formal club. George Street is one of the New Town's premier addresses, a wide Georgian thoroughfare lined with bars, restaurants and hotels and forming part of the Edinburgh World Heritage Site. Sitting within the same building as the Tigerlily and Lulu venues, Coco Boho adds a late-night, music-driven option to one of the city's most fashionable streets. Its mix of cocktails, DJs and late hours has made it a popular fixture of George Street's after-dark scene, busiest from Thursday through to the weekend.
