Pixoul Gaming opened in November 2022 within the Rabdan Area of Abu Dhabi, becoming the largest dedicated esports and competitive gaming arena in the Middle East at the time of its launch. The 4,300 square metre facility was developed in partnership between Abu Dhabi Gaming and Dutch esports architects, occupying the ground floor of a purpose-built complex with 130 high-specification gaming PCs, 30 PlayStation 5 stations, 20 Xbox Series X stations, a VR experience hall with HTC Vive Pro and Meta Quest Pro headsets, and a 200-seat tournament arena equipped with broadcast-grade lighting and three giant LED walls. The PC stations are configured with Intel Core i9 processors, RTX 4080 graphics cards, Logitech G Pro keyboards and mice, Sennheiser headsets and dual ultra-wide monitors, meeting the technical requirements of major international titles including Counter-Strike, Valorant, League of Legends, Dota 2 and Fortnite. The tournament arena hosts regional qualifiers for global circuits including ESL, Riot Games and BLAST, broadcast live to streaming platforms in 4K. Beyond competitive gaming, the venue offers a console lounge themed around split-screen and party titles, a retro arcade with classic cabinets, a virtual reality experience hall with full-room tracking, and a streamer studio with green screen and broadcast-quality audio for content creators. The on-site cafe serves food and drinks designed for one-handed eating that does not interfere with controller use, and the membership programme offers tiered access to peak hours, tournaments and content creation services. Pixoul hosts community game nights, school holiday camps for children aged eight and above, corporate team-building events and academic partnerships with local universities running gaming-related courses. Trained referees and floor managers oversee tournament play. Visitor amenities include lockers, breakout rooms for content recording and parking validated for the adjacent multi-storey car park throughout the year.
