Passage

Easily their most experimental effort, 'Passage' (1977) turned expectations on their head. From the dramatic cover of Klaatu’s sci-fi epic 'Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft' to a lush version of 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina', the album was bold and unpredictable. Recorded with a full orchestra and diverse guest musicians, the project was not commercially huge, but artistically daring. Richard’s production skills were on full display, and Karen’s voice remained the emotional anchor. This was a duo unafraid to take risks, even if it puzzled some fans. The album gained a cult following over time for its eccentric and cinematic vision.
