CUBAN / WORLD MUSIC On 12 May, Cuban artist Sandra Ivette brings her six-piece band for the world premiere of Comienzo, her debut album that has never been performed live. Rooted in Cuban music but shaped by a decade of playing across the world, she plays bass and sings, leading a set written for everything from a string quartet to a jazz trio. Rahman during a chance encounter in Dubai, has since received a repost from Céline Dion, earned praise from Shania Twain at the Forbes 30/50 Summit in Abu Dhabi, and performed for heads of state and royalty — all before turning 18. Season 49 is her first headline show in an intimate setting, and she'll be performing original music including her single "Stay."
