Dynamic, founded in 2013 by award‑winning singer and arranger Paul Kim from San Francisco, breathes new life into a rare genre on the Danish jazz scene. They are often compared by reviewers to The Manhattan Transfer, but above all Dynamic has a sound entirely of its own, as the tightly knit group plays with combinations of voices and instruments. With their new project (st)Ages, Dynamic creates a concert experience of a very special nature. The repertoire, a mix of beloved jazz standards and original compositions, presents stages, places, and phases in a human life - from its delicate beginnings to old age. A newborn child that comes into the light, a teenager with an ukulele, a father’s love and pride, falling in love, having too much on your plate, mood swings, abandoned places, forgetting, acceptance, honking cars, dealing with jerks, silence in nature, hope and joy. Swing, Latin, groove, ballads - Dynamic’s renowned versatility and musicality will be on full display. There is room for humor, poetry, and reflection in this varied and captivating musical journey, presented in the beautiful setting and acoustics of Literaturhaus. Dynamic performs regularly in Denmark and abroad and has released critically acclaimed albums.
