Sharing a restored tobacco factory with the city's automobile museum, the Coleccion del Museo Ruso in Malaga was a branch of the State Russian Museum of Saint Petersburg, opened in 2015 to display masterpieces of Russian art in southern Spain, the first such institution outside Russia.
