Set on the second floor of the RCA Plaza shopping complex on Rama 9 Road in the Bangkapi district of central Bangkok, EasyKart Bangkok is one of the principal indoor go-kart venues in the Thai capital and provides the standard year-round karting experience accessible without leaving the air-conditioned central city. The venue opened in the late 2000s as one of the original anchor tenants of the second-floor entertainment zone of the wider RCA Plaza complex. The indoor go-kart venue format developed during the 1990s in Europe and North America as a response to the demand for year-round karting accessible regardless of the prevailing weather conditions. The format combines the principal racing experience of the conventional outdoor karting circuit with the controlled environment of the standard shopping mall entertainment zone, providing a particularly suitable solution for the hot tropical climate of central Bangkok. The principal circuit is laid out in a continuous loop of around two hundred and forty metres across the irregular shape of the second-floor commercial space. The circuit follows the conventional contemporary indoor kart track design with a series of medium-radius corners, a single longer straight along the western edge of the space and a final short chicane before the central pit lane. The total lap time for a competent driver is around forty-five to fifty seconds. The principal racing karts are the standard Sodikart machines supplied by the French manufacturer Sodi Racing, the dominant single supplier of indoor karting equipment in the wider South-East Asian region. The standard kart fleet is divided into two principal categories, with the slower adult karts providing a maximum speed of around forty kilometres per hour for novice drivers and the faster sport karts providing around sixty kilometres per hour for more experienced regular customers. The standard race sessions run on a continuous schedule throughout the operating hours of the venue. Each individual session lasts around ten minutes of continuous driving and includes around twelve to fifteen laps of the circuit depending on the speed of the individual driver. Group bookings for parties, birthday celebrations and corporate team-building events are available through the central reservation desk, with the various supplementary packages including catering options, private circuit hire and the standard race timing services. The venue operates seven days per week from around eleven in the morning until midnight.
