528 Ibiza

Hidden in the Benimussa hills above San Antonio, 528 Ibiza occupies a sprawling rural estate with an unusual back-story. The site opened in 1972 as a zoo and later became the well-known Benimussa Park, home to the cult Zoo Project and Gala Night parties, before a spell as a theatrical dining venue. From 2023 it returned to its best-known role as an open-air clubbing destination. The venue is run by the Ibiza Rocks Group, the team behind Ibiza Rocks and Pikes, and is named after the 528 Hz audio frequency. It is laid out across several distinct zones rather than a single dancefloor: a Garden area combining a large Park Stage with a more intimate Amphitheatre, both set among pines and terraces, plus an indoor Club room and a separate Terrace for the later, after-dark sessions. Daytime events typically start in the late afternoon and wind down before midnight, when the party moves indoors. Programming leans toward underground house and techno, with residencies and one-off shows from a rotating cast of promoters. The emphasis is on sound quality and a setting that feels closer to a festival site than a conventional superclub. 528 is open across the summer season, roughly May to October. It sits a few kilometres inland from San Antonio, and because the surrounding roads are narrow and unlit the organisers run free shuttle buses for ticket holders from San Antonio bus station and Ibiza Town; taxis from San Antonio are short, those from Ibiza Town much longer.
