Plastik is an independent club in San Antonio Bay that traces its roots to 2002, when it began life as a record shop before turning into a bar and then a club. One of San Antonio's longest-running club brands, it relocated in 2021 to the former BN3 site on Carrer des Calo, a couple of minutes from the water in the up-and-coming Bay area. The move gave it a large outdoor terrace -- complete with big screens for sport -- alongside a compact indoor club room, while keeping the sound system, resident DJs and free-entry policy that had defined it. The music leans toward vocal house, disco and retro club classics rather than the harder underground sound of the bigger venues, and the relaxed, no-cover approach is central to its appeal. Owner-run and deliberately small in scale, Plastik positions itself as an approachable local alternative to the island's superclubs, a few minutes from the San Antonio Sunset Strip.
