Set in a 16,000-square-foot former tile warehouse on Armley Road, a short walk from Leeds city centre, Project House is a 1,000-capacity multi-use venue that has quickly become one of the city's most exciting spaces for live music. Opened in July 2023, it was created through a collaboration between several of the city's most respected independent names, bringing a fresh, ambitious venue to the Leeds scene. The venue is the product of a partnership between Brudenell Social Club, Belgrave Music Hall, the live promoters Super Friendz and the Welcome Skate Store, a line-up that all but guarantees credibility with local audiences. The result is a large, open-plan event space with a distinctive do-it-yourself, cinderblock-and-plywood aesthetic, a large outdoor area and plenty of natural light, complemented by an in-house production team and high-quality PA and lighting. As a live music venue, Project House has rapidly established a reputation for booking some of the buzziest names in contemporary music. Its programme spans indie, hip-hop, electronic and alternative acts, and it has hosted artists including Black Country, New Road, Floating Points, Sky Ferreira and many more, alongside club nights and DJ events. The scale of the room makes it suitable for both rising talent and established touring acts. Beyond gigs, the venue's flexible layout makes it well suited to a wide range of events, from markets and exhibitions to conferences, product launches, award ceremonies, weddings and parties. An on-site kitchen and bar, Galleria, provides catering with seasonal menus, while the adjoining cafe and restaurant space offers a more relaxed setting that adds to the venue's appeal as a multi-purpose destination. By bringing together some of the most respected names in Leeds music, culture and hospitality, Project House has filled an important gap in the city's venue landscape.
